In 1998 she was appointed scientific coordinator of the Masters program in Mediterranean Architecture at Hosei University, in Tokyo, and in 1999 she participated in the E.C. Program Raffaello on "Grandes surfaces architecturales" [Large scale architectural surfaces].
From 1998 to 2002 she coordinated interdisciplinary research for the "Guidelines for the requalification of historic facades" project, organized by the Department of BB.AA.AA. in Naples, and since 2003 she has headed the Erasmus program for the Engineering Department. From 2002 to 2004 she was national coordinator of the PRIN research project entitles "Commercial locations and architecture: typological-construction classification aimed at the drawing up of guidelines for the recovery of existing structures and the formulation of design objectives". From 2004 to 2006 she was national coordinator of the PRIN research project entitled "Methods for controlling the material and chromatic stability of plasters and concrete slabs for exteriors".
From 2004 to 2010 she was Director of the Interdepartmental Research Center on traditional techniques for the Mediterranean area (CITTAM) of Federico II University, in Naples.
She has been invited to speak at numerous national and international conferences and was Visiting Professor at the Polytechnic of Timisoara and the Polytechnic of Catalunya, has taught masters and graduate courses on traditional techniques and the recovery of existing structures, and was the Italian coordinator of the EU-funded two-year masters program Erasmus Mundus MACLANDS, in partnership with the universities of Saint
Etienne and Stuttgart.
She has curated architecture exhibits and acted as a consultant for various municipalities, among them Naples and Trieste, particularly for color plans and designs and for urban requalification projects.
She is on the faculty of the Department of Urban Design and Urban Sciences at Federico II University in Naples.
